Jazz could get Hill back vs. Nuggets

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Utah Jazz point guard George Hill is a game-time decision Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets after taking an eight-game hiatus to nurse a thumb sprain.

The Jazz had initially announced that Hill would return against Denver before later updating that the offseason acquisition is a game-time decision.

Hill was off to a scorching start before suffering the injury, averaging a team-high 20.4 points and 4.9 assists per game, shooting 54.1 percent from the field and 43.2 percent from 3-point range, turning the ball over just 1.1 times a night, and racking up a PER of 26. He's shot at least 50 percent from the field in five of his seven games.

The Jazz have been 10 points per 100 possessions better with Hill on the floor, and went 3-5 during his absence.
