George returns from 3-game absence vs. Hawks

Trevor Ruszkowski / USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers will have Paul George back in the lineup Wednesday night when they take on the Atlanta Hawks.

George has missed the past three games with a left ankle sprain, and the Pacers have had spotty results without him. They stole a road win from the Oklahoma City Thunder, but that was sandwiched between two home losses by a combined 57 points to the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors (though Myles Turner also sat against Golden State).

In general, the Pacers have struggled badly at both ends when George hasn't played, lacking another reliable wing stopper and consistent offensive creator. They've outscored opponents by 5.6 points per 100 possessions with him on the floor, and been outscored by 14.4 when he's on the bench.

Turner, who missed the game against the Warriors with an ankle sprain of his own, will also play against the Hawks.
