Lakers' Julius Randle: Uncertain to play Wednesday vs. Warriors

Randle, who played through a hip pointer in Tuesday's 111-109 win over the Thunder, is uncertain to suit up Wednesday against the Warriors, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.

Analysis:

Though Randle started at power forward Tuesday, he was limited to just three points (1-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists over 21 minutes while turning the ball over a season-high six times. It didn't appear that he suffered a setback during the game, but because Randle was still contending with discomfort and playing ineffectively, coach Luke Walton leaned more heavily on Larry Nance down the stretch. It doesn't appear the hip pointer is a major concern for Randle, but with a long-term view in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if he sat out for the second game of a back-to-back set, though the Lakers will wait and see how he responds to treatment first. Nance would likely enter the starting five and receive a bump in minutes if Randle is sidelined Wednesday.
