Heat's Wayne Ellington: Takes part in shootaround Monday

Ellington (quad) was able to take part in the Heat's shootaround Monday.

Analysis:

Ellington ultimately sat out Monday's loss to the 76ers and has yet to make his season debut, but it appears he's at least entered the day-to-day range of his recovery. However, with Josh Richardson already beating the veteran back from the injury list, it seems unlikely that Ellington will be able to claim a regular role in the Heat's rotation upon his return. Ellington should be viewed as questionable at best in advance of Wednesday's game against the Pistons until the Heat indicate otherwise.
