Butler, Davis named NBA Players of the Week

Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans have been named NBA Player of the Week in the Eastern and Western conference, respectively.

Butler averaged 27.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in three games, scoring 40 points in a win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

Davis, meanwhile, averaged close to 34 points and 14 rebounds in the three games he played in, carrying the Pelicans to victory in all three. He also registered three blocks per contest.

Davis now leads the NBA in scoring at 31.7 points per game.
