Knicks' Brandon Jennings: Double-doubles in loss
Jennings scored 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt) and added 10 assists, five rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes during Thursday's 119-112 loss to the Wizards.
Analysis:
Jennings has been relatively ineffective from the fantasy perspective, averaging career lows in points (6.2 per game) and field-goal percentage (32.8%), but he came through with one of his best outings of the season Thursday. Somewhat surprisingly, coach Jeff Hornacek utilized Derrick Rose (27 points in 39 minutes) and Jennings alongside one another for extended stretches, and the dynamic seemed to work well for both players, at least from a statistical standpoint. However, given that both are relatively weak shooters from three-point range, it's unlikely that Hornacek will pair the two together very often, so Jennings' fantasy appeal remains fairly limited while Rose is healthy.
