Bulls' Rajon Rondo: Unlikely for Thursday

Rondo (ankle) is listed as doubtful to play Thursday against the Jazz, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Rondo has been battling a sprained left ankle, which he prevented him from suiting up Tuesday against the Trail Blazers and kept him out of practice Wednesday. The point guard was able to do some shooting Thursday morning, but it appears the ankle issue is still bothering him, so he's trending toward a second straight absence. Jerian Grant, who tallied 18 points in 30 minutes Tuesday, would likely pick up another start if Rondo is indeed sidelined.
