Nuggets' Alonzo Gee: Finalizing deal with Nuggets

Gee is finalizing a contract with the Nuggets on Tuesday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Gee spent training camp with the Pelicans, but was unable to make enough of an impression to latch on with their regular season roster. However, the Nuggets are in desperate need of some help on the wing with Gary Harris (foot) out multiple weeks, as well as guys like Wilson Chandler (hamstring) and Will Barton (ankle) dealing with their respective injuries. Gee likely won't see a ton of minutes out of the gate and is expected to take on a depth role, so he can still be avoided in fantasy leagues for the time being.
