Clippers' Paul Pierce: Still has yet to make season debut

Pierce (coach's decision) didn't play in Monday's 127-95 win over the Nets.

Analysis:

Pierce seems to be over the ankle injury that kept him sidelined for the first couple games of the season, but the veteran still has yet to make his debut. Even though the Clippers have had a number of blowout wins, coach Doc Rivers apparently has no desire to give the 39-year-old run in games where the outcome is already in hand. It may require an injury or two to hit the frontcourt before Pierce enters the rotation and sees time off the bench in competitive contests.
