Pacers' Paul George: Struggles from field in Monday's win

George (ankle) totaled 13 points (5-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 34 minutes during the Pacers' 88-69 win over the Magic on Monday.

Analysis:

After missing Saturday's showdown with the Celtics due to an ankle injury, George made his return to the starting lineup Monday, but couldn't get much going offensively. Fortunately for the Pacers, the Magic looked spent after a narrow victory over the Thunder on Sunday, so Indiana was able to win easily despite limited contributions from George. Though the game turned into a blowout early in the second half, Pacers coach Nate McMillan opted to bring George back into the contest late in the fourth quarter, perhaps hoping it would help the superstar regain some confidence before Wednesday's bout with LeBron James and the defending champion Cavaliers.
