Heat's Luke Babbitt: To come off the bench Monday

Babbitt will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Spurs, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

Coach Erik Spoelstra indicated at Monday's morning shootaround that Babbitt, who was benched for the entire second half of Saturday's game against the Jazz, would retain his role in the starting five, but the Heat bench boss has opted to switch things up in advance of the tilt with the Spurs. After logging eight straight starts, Babbitt will give way to Derrick Williams, who could end up holding down the starting role at power forward if he performs well Monday. Babbitt should still have a role off the bench as a three-point specialist, but look for him to see a downgrade in the 19.9 minutes per game he's averaging on the season.
