Rockets' Patrick Beverley: Expected to start Thursday's game

Beverley (knee) will likely make his season debut Thursday against the Trail Blazers and is expected to immediately retain his role as the team's starting point guard, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Beverley has missed the entire season thus far while working back from a knee injury, but is now expected to make his season debut Thursday. Coach Mike D'Antoni already indicated that he'll insert Beverley back into the starting five, meaning Eric Gordon is expected to return to a bench role. Beverley is usually relied upon more for his defensive capabilities, rather than his body of work offensively, which should limit his overall fantasy potential on most nights.
