Rockets' Eric Gordon: In the starting lineup Monday

Gordon will return to the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Sixers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Gordon has spent the Rockets' last three games in a bench role, but after exploding for 27 points and five rebounds during Saturday's outing with the Spurs, coach Mike D'Antoni decided it was time to get him back with the starting five. Corey Brewer will likely return to a bench role, which could also give him a slightly smaller role in the team's regular rotation. That said, coach D'Antoni already announced that Patrick Beverley (knee) will reclaim his starting point guard role once healthy and a return from Beverley could come as soon as Thursday against the Trail Blazers, so Gordon's stint with the top overall unit may be short-lived.
