New York Knicks point guard Brandon Jennings has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for directing inappropriate language at a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection Friday against the Boston Celtics, the league announced Sunday.

He received his first technical foul for slamming the basketball, and was hit with another for continuing to argue with the referee, which resulted in his ejection with 3:20 remaining in the game.

Jennings finished with six points and six rebounds on 1-of-7 shooting from the field in 27 minutes off the bench, as the Knicks got blown out at the TD Garden in a 115-87 drubbing courtesy of the Celtics.

"I was just frustrated," Jennings said afterwards, according to Newsday's Al Iannazzone. "We were getting blown out. I felt like we got punked."

The Knicks are losers of three of their last four games, and return home to Madison Square Garden on Monday to host the visiting Dallas Mavericks.
