Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: Pours in 31 in losing effort Saturday

Anthony scored a team-high 31 points (10-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT) while adding six rebounds and four assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 118-107 loss to the Raptors.

Analysis:

He went toe to toe with current NBA scoring leader DeMar DeRozan but, like the Knicks as a whole, came up just a bit short in a game that saw 27 lead changes. The 31 points were a season high for Anthony, but there should be more big performances to come as he and Derrick Rose continue to grow acclimated to each other.
