Melo says Brothers has something against him

Carmelo Anthony echoed his wife La La's comments that referee Tony Brothers seems to have some kind of issue with him.

"I don’t want to say that it's personal but I always feel like it's something," Anthony said Saturday in Toronto, according to Newsday's Al Iannazzone. The Knicks were in town a day after Anthony was ejected by Brothers during Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics.

Anthony was arguing a loose ball foul when he got a second technical and was tossed by Brothers. The star's wife then took to Twitter to suggest that the history between player and official is based in personal animosity on Brothers' part.

La La Anthony's opinion is notable, as Brothers was the referee in the 2013 game where Kevin Garnett and Anthony nearly came to blows - on the court and later outside the Celtics' team bus - over innuendo Garnett reportedly directed at Anthony. La La later denied Garnett said anything specific.
