Pelicans' Jrue Holiday: Season debut expected next week

Holiday (personal) is planning to make his season debut at some point next week, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.

Analysis:

Holiday appears ready to rejoin the team and resume playing basketball after a period of personal leave. There is a chance he could play Wednesday against the Magic, but it is more likely that his return comes Friday against the Trail Blazers. Tim Frazier has more than held down the fort in Holiday's absence, but Holiday figures to claim the starting point guard duties for the Pelicans before long, and could do just that right out of the gate.
