Wizards' John Wall: Will sit out one game of back-to-back set

Wizards coach Scott Brooks said Wall would sit out one game of the Wizards' back-to-back set Friday against the Cavaliers and Saturday against the Bulls, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Brooks said he's already determined which game that Wall will sit out, though the coach's plans could change depending on the availability of the point guard's backcourt mate, Bradley Beal, who left Wednesday's win over the Celtics with a tight hamstring and is questionable for Friday. Wall required offseason procedures on both knees, and while neither knee has presented any issues through six appearances, the Wizards don't want to overextend their franchise player too much so early in the new campaign. Most of the attention surrounding Wall lately has related to the back-to-back ejections he's earned, but despite the early exits in those games, he's still holding down averages of 21.3 points -- a career-best mark -- 9.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 33.8 minutes per game.
