Mavericks' Andrew Bogut: Ruled out Wednesday

Bogut will be held out of Wednesday's game against the Warriors for rest, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

With the banged-up Mavericks playing the second half of a back-to-back, coach Rick Carlisle will rest three of his key veterans Bogut, J.J. Barea and Wesley Matthews. While Bogut will miss out on a matchup against his former team, it's probably beneficial for the Mavs to limit his workload over the long season, considering he's 31 years old and has historically struggled to stay healthy. With Bogut out, Dwight Powell is expected to slot in as the starting center, while Salah Mejri could see an enhanced workload off the bench.
