Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Late scratch Wednesday

Matthews won't play Wednesday against the Warriors in order to rest, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

In addition to Matthews, the Mavericks will hold out J.J. Barea and Andrew Bogut for rest in the second half of the back-to-back set. With Deron Williams (calf), Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) and Devin Harris (toe) also sidelined with injuries, the Mavericks will have to get by with a nine-man crew. Justin Anderson will enter the starting five at shooting guard in Matthews' place.
