Nets' Trevor Booker: Just misses double-double Tuesday

Booker scored 15 points (7-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT) while adding nine rebounds, three steals, an assist and a block in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 119-110 win over the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

The 15 points were a season high for Booker, albeit a modest one, but he continues to struggle with his outside shot, missing all nine of his three-point attempts so far. He's never been a big threat from beyond the arc anyway, so don't be surprised if he dials back on the experiment and focuses more on working the glass, where he's averaging a career-high 9.4 boards per game. Thaddeus Young thrived last season in a similar role next to Brook Lopez in the Nets' frontcourt, averaging a career best of his own with 9.0 boards a game, so Booker's production in that category may not be an early-season mirage.
