Chris Bosh still has designs of playing NBA basketball again, even as the Miami Heat have seemingly cut ties with him.

After failing his preseason physical with the Heat due to the recurrence of blood clots, and subsequently being left out of the Heat's future plans, Bosh fired his CAA representatives and longtime agent Henry Thomas.

He's since signed on with agent Rob Pelinka of Landmark Sports Agency, according to Liz Mullen of Sports Business Journal.

Pelinka represents a host of high-profile NBAers, including James Harden, Andre Iguodala, and Avery Bradley. He also represented the recently retired Kobe Bryant.

Bosh reportedly isn't planning a comeback for this season, but may be in a position to sign with another team should he be bought out of the remaining three years and $76 million on his contract with Miami.

The particulars of his and the Heat's inevitable split may ultimately depend on the terms of the impending new collective bargaining agreement, which doesn't appear likely to contain an amnesty clause.
