Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Comes off bench in return from suspension

Cunningham played 26 minutes in Monday's 116-106 loss to the Warriors, producing eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist.

Analysis:

After missing the Pelicans' previous contest Friday against the Suns while serving a one-game suspension for a June DUI arrest, Cunningham returned to a bench role Monday. While Omer Asik got the starting nod alongside Anthony Davis in the frontcourt, Cunningham ended up nearly doubling up Asik (14 minutes) in court time. It's expected that the playing time will vary wildly throughout the season for Asik, Cunningham and, to a lesser extent, Terrence Jones based on the matchups, so all three players figure to remain risky commodities in both season-long and DFS formats.
