Pacers' C.J. Miles: Scores 23 off the bench

Miles notched 23 points (8-15 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 25 minutes in a 122-100 loss to the Hornets on Monday.

Analysis:

Miles has now tallied season highs in scoring in four consecutive games, after previously popping for 16, 19 and 20 points. Miles usually doesn't shoot this many three-pointers, but with the Pacers trailing for most of the contest, they needed him to start gunning. Coach Nate McMillan should continue to give Miles the green light to fire away while he's running hot, but his career numbers suggests he won't be able to maintain his current mid-teens scoring average.
