The Sacramento Kings have waived point guard Jordan Farmar with Darren Collison's eight-game suspension coming to an end.

Collison will be eligible to play Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans after serving the league-mandated suspension for his involvement in a domestic violence incident. He pleaded guilty in September to a misdemeanor charge of battery. Collison reportedly received three years probation and a 20-day jail sentence in an alternative sentencing program as part of his plea agreement.

Ty Lawson has been seeing the majority of the team's minutes at point guard, with Farmar averaging six points per game on 44 percent 3-point shooting. He was also waived by the Kings two weeks ago, but brought back to fill in for Collison.
