Lance Stephenson, the Big Easy hardly knew you.

The New Orleans Pelicans officially waived the swingman Monday, and added a healthy body in Archie Goodwin.

Stephenson played six games for the Pelicans, but suffered a groin injury last week that will require surgery. New Orleans is badly banged up again this season and could be a candidate to beat their own NBA record - set last year - for the earliest granting of the NBA's hardship exception.

However, Stephenson's agent Mark Bartelstein said there are "no hard feelings" due to roster constraints, and Pelicans general manager Dell Demps has expressed interest in bringing Stephenson back after he rehabilitates from surgery - possibly in two months - according to Brett Martel from The Associated Press.

Stephenson's 9.7 points per game were good for fourth on the offensively challenged team. The Brooklyn native came cheap for New Orleans, as well, signing a one-year deal in September that was reportedly guaranteed for only $100,000.
