Kings' Rudy Gay: Plans to take the court Sunday

Updating a previous report: Gay (ribs) plans to play Sunday against the Raptors, Gary Gerould of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Coach Dave Joerger originally said he didn't expect Gay to play, but after going through pregame warmups, he's feeling healthy enough to make a return to the court after just a one-game absence. Gay should jump back into the starting lineup if he does indeed play, which would shift Omri Casspi back into a bench role. It wouldn't be surprising if Gay saw limited minutes, as he's still dealing with some soreness and will wear protective gear to cover his rib injury.
