Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Suspended one game
Cunningham has been suspended one game for operating a vehicle while "exhibiting the effects of having consumed alcohol," Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Cunningham's suspension stems from an incident this past June when he was cited on suspicion of a possible DUI. He will serve his penalty Friday night, and will not be available for the Pelicans' matchup with the Suns. With Cunningham out, Omer Asik could move back into the starting lineup, or the Pelicans could opt to start Terrence Jones instead.
