Lakers' Timofey Mozgov: Cleared of possible orbital fracture

Mozgov (face) has been cleared of an orbital fracture and a concussion, but is still considered doubtful for Friday's matchup with the Warriors, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reports.

Analysis:

Mozgov's initial CT scan came back inconclusive, but after further testing was performed Thursday morning, he's now been cleared of any issue that could force an extended absence. The center is still likely to miss his second straight game Friday, as the swelling surrounding his eye likely hasn't fully subsided. If Mozgov makes strides in his recovery over the weekend, he could be cleared to play Sunday against the Suns. Rookie Ivica Zubac started in Mozgov's place Wednesday against the Hawks and could get the honors again Friday, though he'll likely split most of the minutes at the position with Tarik Black.
