Heat's Josh McRoberts: Participates in full contact practice Thursday

McRoberts (foot) took part in contact portions of Thursday's practice, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.

Analysis:

McRoberts was taken off the team's injury report last week after logging some practices, but despite three games passing since that time, the big man has yet to make his season debut. It may be a case where he wasn't 100 percent healthy, but his involvement in a full-contact session suggests that he could be ready to play if needed Friday against the Raptors. McRoberts is expected to see most of his court time at center this season, but with Hassan Whiteside and Willie Reed ahead of him on the depth chart, he's unlikely to be a regular member of coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation.
