Clippers' Pierce: 'Golden State choked' in Finals

Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports

Since you probably forgot, Paul Pierce is here to remind you the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

"Golden State choked," Pierce replied to Bill Simmons on "Any Given Wednesday" when asked if the Cleveland Cavaliers won or if the Dubs choked in June.

"Like, seriously, I mean 3-1? 3-1, you're not supposed to lose; 3-1, you should never lose. Golden State choked."

It's worth noting the Warriors overcame a 3-1 deficit in the conference finals versus the Oklahoma City Thunder in order to make their second straight Finals appearance.

Pierce hasn't relinquished a 3-1 series lead in his 18-year career, though, and doesn't plan to start in his final go.

"Never," the 39-year-old said. "That would never happen."
