Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Probable for Wednesday

Cunningham is dealing with a hip contusion, but is considered probable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Cunningham made his first start of the season during Tuesday's loss to the Bucks, playing 38 minutes, but scoring just four points on 1-for-9 shooting. He might be hurting a little bit after logging all that playing time, but it's expected that he'll be cleared to suit up once game time rolls around. It remains to be seen if Cunningham will stick in a starting role Wednesday or if coach Alvin Gentry will go back to Omer Asik as the frontcourt partner for Anthony Davis.
