Pelicans' Dante Cunningham: Falters in move to starting five

Cunningham was held to four points (1-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 38 minutes in Tuesday's 117-113 loss to the Bucks.

Analysis:

With Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry opting to go with a small-ball lineup for Tuesday's contest, Cunningham moved up to the top unit and started at power forward, while center Omer Asik hit the bench. Gentry's decision didn't seem to pay any immediate dividends, as Cunningham turned in his worst shooting night of the season and couldn't even hit the high single digits in rebounds, despite the huge minutes load. It's uncertain if he'll get another starting opportunity in the Pelicans' next game Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
