Grizzlies' Marc Gasol: Not expected to play Tuesday

Gasol will be available off the bench during Tuesday's matchup with the Timberwolves, but is unlikely to play, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Analysis:

Both Gasol and Mike Conley aren't expected to take the floor Tuesday, as the coaching staff is hoping to give their veterans a day off for rest. That said, the Grizzlies are expected to start Wade Baldwin, Troy Williams, James Ennis, Jarell Martin and JaMychal Green. All five starters should get a ton of minutes Tuesday, although Gasol and Conley should be back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans in the second of a back-to-back set.
