Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Doesn't practice Tuesday

Matthews was held out of practice Tuesday with a foot injury, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

The Mavericks didn't report that Matthews was dealing with any injury heading into Sunday's and said nothing about the matter afterward, so it's expected that he's just receiving a maintenance day more than anything else. Matthews has assumed a massive workload, topping 37 minutes in all three of the Mavs' games, so he could certainly benefit from having a practice off. Expect him to be back on the floor for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, unless the foot issue is more significant than the team is letting on.
