Spurs' Kawhi Leonard: Takes control in fourth quarter Sunday

Leonard scored 27 points (8-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 10-12 FT) while adding six assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 106-99 win over the Heat.

Analysis:

Leonard took control of the game in the fourth quarter despite leaving briefly to get a bandage under his right eye, scoring 14 of his 27 points in the final 6:04 after the Heat had briefly taken the lead. The small forward has scored at least 20 points in all four games to begin the season, and last season's career-high 21.2 points per game might end up being simply a stepping stone to bigger and better things.
