Magic's Nikola Vucevic: Retains starting role in Biyombo's debut

Vucevic recorded seven points (3-12 FG, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 26 minutes in Friday's 108-82 loss to the Pistons.

Analysis:

After posting a double-double in Wednesday's season opener against the Heat, Vucevic stuck with the starting five Friday, even with Bismack Biyombo returning from a one-game suspension to make his Magic debut. It was tough to get a read on how the minutes distribution at center will end up shaking out since the Pistons turned the game into a blowout by halftime, but Biyombo didn't do much to stake a claim to a larger workload. Vucevic's poor shooting wasn't a good look either, though his strong rebounding total helped salvage his game to some extent.
