Kings' Ty Lawson: Drops nine dimes in loss to Spurs

Lawson contributed seven points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine assists, four rebounds and one steal across 36 minutes in Thursday's 102-94 loss to the Spurs.

Analysis:

Kings coach Dave Joerger has deployed Lawson as his starting point guard and given him 36 minutes in both of the team's first two games, and that trend figures to persist over the next six games while Darren Collison remains under suspension. Lawson hasn't provided the scoring that we had been accustomed to seeing from him during his prime years with the Nuggets, but he's at least produced better than he did during his disastrous stints with the Rockets and Pacers last season. He's excelled as the Kings' primary distributor, posting a stellar 16:3 assist-to-turnover ratio over the two contests.
