Grizzlies' Vince Carter: Not listed on injury report

Carter (knee) isn't listed on the Grizzlies' injury report heading into Wednesday's season opener against the Timberwolves, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports.

Analysis:

Carter ended up sitting out the Grizzlies' preseason finale one week earlier with what was labeled as a left knee injury, but it was only a minor concern for the veteran swingman, who has been able to practice the last few days. While Carter figures to see a decreased role after averaging 16.8 minutes per game in his 60 appearances last season, he'll have a chance at surpassing that minute count for at least the opener. The Grizzlies have ruled out their two projected starters on the wing, Tony Allen (knee) and Chandler Parsons (knee), so Carter could see more extended run off the bench if he doesn't replace either in the starting five.
