Warriors' Draymond Green: Posts double-double to open season

Green scored 18 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, six assists, five steals and one blocked shot across 33 minutes in Tuesday's 129-100 loss to the Spurs.

Analysis:

Green is generally expected to sacrifice some scoring with the Warriors adding Kevin Durant to the ranks this season, but his 15 shot attempts Tuesday ranked third on team. The Warriors leaned more heavily on Green with Klay Thompson limited to 11 points on 5-for-13 shooting, but Green won't necessarily benefit from that most nights. Thankfully, even when he takes on a lessened role offensively, Green makes enough of an impact as a rebounder, assist man and theft artist to offer high-end value to his fantasy owners.
