Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: Scores team-high 19 in season opener

Anthony scored 19 points (8-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 117-88 loss to the Cavaliers.

Analysis:

Even with Derrick Rose on the court, Anthony still took his usual spot at the top of the Knicks' food chain, leading the team in shots and scoring. His mark of 21.8 points per game last season was his lowest output in over a decade, but if the 32-year-old can stay healthy, he has the talent around him to do better.
