NBA analyst Charles Barkley is already dropping wildfire takes, and the 2016-17 regular season hasn't even started.

Joining Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Shaquille O'Neal for TNT's pregame show prior to the Cleveland Cavaliers-New York Knicks opener on Tuesday, Barkley heaped the highest of praise upon "Splash Brother" Klay Thompson.

The Basketball Hall of Famer said Smith was out of his mind for thinking Kevin Durant is the second-greatest player on the planet, mentioning Thompson and Kawhi Leonard as better, with Durant and back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry right behind.

"Klay Thompson is the best all-around player other than LeBron James in the NBA," Barkley said.

Never change, "Sir Charles."
