Lakers' Timofey Mozgov: Will play Wednesday

Mozgov (tailbone) will play in Wednesday's season opener against the Rockets, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Mozgov never appeared at much risk of missing the opener due to the bruised tailbone, as he was able to practice Saturday and was deemed probable as of Monday. After being exiled from the Cavs' rotation during their run to the NBA title this past summer, Mozgov will be in line for a full-time starting role with the Lakers, which could yield around 25 minutes per game.
