Lakers' Luol Deng: Will play Wednesday

Deng (knee) will play in Wednesday's season opener against the Rockets, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Deng was never at much risk of missing Wednesday's contest, as he was listed as probable earlier in the day with his bruised left knee apparently deemed a non-issue. It's not expected that Deng will see his minutes limited in his Lakers debut, though he'll likely sacrifice playing time to No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram as the season unfolds.
