Heat's Wayne Ellington: Ruled out of opener

Ellington (quad) has been ruled out of the Heat's season opener against the Magic on Wednesday, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Analysis:

After failing to partake in practice Tuesday, the veteran isn't a candidate to suit up Wednesday, so he'll now set his sights on the Heat's next game Friday against the Hornets. In Ellington's absence, Dion Waiters and Tyler Johnson could see slight bumps in minutes at shooting guard.
