Trail Blazers' Tim Quarterman: Wins 15-man roster spot

Quarterman secured a spot on the Trail Blazers' Opening Night roster, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.

Analysis:

Despite going undrafted in June, Quarterman, a 6-foot-6 point guard who played alongside No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons at LSU last season, made enough of an impression on the Blazers during the summer league and in training camp to secure the 15th and final spot. With Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum, Evan Turner and Shabazz Napier ahead of him in the pecking order at point guard, Quarterman doesn't figure to see the floor often this season, and may have to head to the D-League for extended stretches of time.
