Mavericks' Quincy Acy: Says he'll play Wednesday

Acy (ankle) said he expects to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Pacers, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

Acy returned to full practice Sunday and indicated his right ankle felt fine afterward, so he doesn't appear at much risk of missing the opener. The Mavericks will turn to Acy to provide some three-point shooting at the power-forward spot off the bench, but he's unlikely to see extended minutes so long as starter Dirk Nowitzki and top backup Dwight Powell remain healthy.
