Hornets' Frank Kaminsky: Remains questionable for Wednesday

Kaminsky (foot) is making progress in his recovery, but remains questionable for Wednesday's season opener against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. "[Kaminsky] did a ton [of rehabilitation] Sunday and then he was back in here [Monday] morning. I guess you'd call him questionable [for the season opener], but he's making lots of progress," coach Steve Clifford said.

Analysis:

Clifford didn't sound particularly optimistic about Kaminsky's availability for Wednesday, but considering the big man was able to get back on the court Monday, albeit in a limited capacity, his chances of playing in the opener have improved. Kaminsky is slated to open the season as the top backup to starting power forward Marvin Williams, but if both he and Cody Zeller (knee) are forced out Wednesday, the team may have to lean more heavily on their two other reserve frontcourt players, Spencer Hawes and Christian Wood.
