Hornets' Cody Zeller: Questionable for Wednesday
Zeller (knee) remains hopeful he can play in Wednesday's regular season opener against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. "I felt good, which was encouraging," Zeller said after Monday's practice. "I was interested to see how I'd feel [Sunday] night and [Monday] morning. It felt pretty good, so hopefully in another 24 hours (leaving for Milwaukee) I'll be good."
Analysis:
With full practices under his belt in back-to-back days, Zeller seems to making progress in his recovery from a bone bruise on his right knee, an injury that has limited him for much of training camp. Due to the extensive time he missed, Zeller remains questionable for Wednesday's opener, and even if he does play, he'll likely face a minutes restriction. The Hornets are expected to open the regular season with Roy Hibbert as their starting center.
