Rockets' Tyler Ennis: Won't be waived after all

Contrary to an earlier report, Ennis won't be waived by the Rockets and has earned a spot on the 15-man roster, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Charania reported earlier Monday that the team was planning to let Ennis go prior to the start of the regular season, but the Rockets have instead opted to part ways with veteran Pablo Prigioni. That means Ennis is set to serve as the No. 2 point guard to begin the season with Patrick Beverley (knee) in line for an extended absence, but he doesn't figure to see frequent playing time with starter James Harden set to assume one of the heaviest minutes loads in the league.
